We all understand that volunteering is a very noble act .Volunteer firefighters take time out of their busy lives to protect their community and its getting more and more challenging to give their time. Some history about the hours a volunteer must put in to be able to protect your town. Fire fighter 1 and 2 consist of 220 hrs of training. Most of which has to be done on nights and weekends. Along with meeting a long list of BLS yearly requirements. Letâ??s not forget in house training and meetings that consists of once or twice a month to keep their skills and knowledge up.
